POWERFUL TOOLS FOR CAREGIVERS
is an educational ministry designed to help family caregivers
take care of themselves while caring for a relative or friend.
This series of classes was developed by Legacy Caregiver
Services and has been shown to reduce caregiver guilt, anger,
and depression and at the same time improve caregiver self-care
and communication skills. The Caring Commission will be
offering this series of six classes beginning Thursday,
September 23, from 3:30–6:00 PM. Brochures are available
in the foyer with more information. You may also
review the information online. Pre-register in the church
office by September 16.
BAPTISM... When
Jesus commissioned His disciples to carry on the work He
began, He called them to make more disciples who would follow
Him. They were to be identified in a particular way - through
baptism. The practice of baptism has been a rite by which
followers publicly declare their decision to follow Jesus,
and unite with others in the community of believers, since
the first preaching of the gospel. If you would like to
learn more about baptism, or are interested in being baptized,
please contact Pastor Steve (Steve
Hardy ~ at ~ damascuscc ~ dot ~ org).
