A Red Cross Blood drive is scheduled for Saturday, March 6th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This drive is to support Kerry Phifer, mom of a DCS student, who is ready for a bone marrow transplant in the coming weeks. She shared the following about blood drives:
"As a recipient of donor blood, I am so thankful there are people willing to donate. The oncology unit is full of people whose lives depend on these donations; I was one of those people and will be again in a few weeks. It really is such a powerful thing, to look up and see someone else’s blood infusing into my body – it reminds me of the power we have just as humans to be there for each other, to help each other, to save each other’s lives."

There are several appointments available. You may schedule online at www.redcrossblood.org or contact Bonnie Morgan at email@example.com for assistance.
