As Joshua prepared to lead the people into the land promised by God it was absolutely essential that they remember lessons learned in the past as encouragement to their faith and obedience. The very concept of “building on faith” is recognition that the people of Damascus Community Church have experienced the faithfulness and provision of God in the past and can in faith anticipate His help in future development.
