“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
Romans 12:1 (NIV)

Our call to worship is more than just singing and more than just Sunday morning. According to this verse in Romans, true and proper worship involves offering our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God the Father. And this is in light of His immense mercy and love for us demonstrated by the sacrifice of Jesus, His only Son, on the cross. We do not take that grace for granted. In gratitude for this wonderful sacrifice on His part, we offer back to God our very lives. Easy to say, not always easy to do.

We acknowledge that music is one means of worshiping God. You will find at Damascus Community Church a variety of songs and styles that reflect the wide spectrum of ages that make up our body. If you’re not already a part of the flock,
we invite you to come and worship with us.

“Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people; praise his holy name.”
Psalm 30:4
