The Elder Council would like to thank those who read the proposed changes to the DCC Constitution and offered feedback. The Elders reviewed, considered and discussed all of the comments that we received. Incorporating this valuable input, we are proposing to make a few additional revisions about which we would welcome congregational input.
To help draw attention to these new revisions, the Elders have provided a redline version here. (We have also provided a text summary of these revisions here.) This redline shows only what is proposed to change compared to the constitution draft which was sent to the church for review back in November 2022.
The Elders believe these new revisions were significant enough to extend the congregational review period of this constitution update. We would welcome comments on these new revisions by April 2, 2023.
It is the Council’s intent to vote on the constitution revision at its April 4, 2023 meeting, which would include the changes proposed back in November 2022, modified with these new revisions that we are now sharing for your input.
