14 Days of Prayer for DCC Sports & Art Camp
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10a
Week Prior to Camp:
July 27 – Pray for the hearts of campers and volunteers as they prepare for camp.
July 28 – Pray for camp preparations of stories, lessons, sports drills, worship, administration, and all coordination and set up activities.
July 29 – Pray for the health and safety of campers and volunteers.
July 30 – Pray for the families of campers and volunteers.
July 31 – Pray for campers to feel at home, have fun learning a new skill, and feel comfortable asking questions.
August 1 – Pray for volunteers to know how to answer questions and have conversations with campers.
August 2 – Pray for campers and volunteers who do not know Christ, to accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
Week of Camp:
August 3 – Pray for kindness of campers and volunteers, and the ability to appropriately handle situations that may arise. Pray for the training that volunteers would understand their roles and build community within their teams.
August 4 – Pray for campers and volunteers to understand that God created us to be in a relationship with Him.
(Key Point: Knowing God is our ultimate purpose in life.)
August 5 – Pray for campers and volunteers to understand we are separated from God because of sin.
(Key Point: God has the best plan for our lives.)
August 6 – Pray for campers and volunteers to understand Jesus defeated sin to fix our broken relationship.
(Key Point: We can face our fears with God’s help.)
August 7 – Pray for campers and volunteers to understand that faith alone in Jesus restores our relationship.
(Key Point: Jesus can defeat our doubts.)
August 8 – Pray for campers and volunteers to understand we can live a new life because of Jesus.
(Key Point: We should live for Jesus and others.)
August 9 – Pray for the campers who accepted Christ, as well as for those who still have not accepted Christ. Pray that there would be follow-up as they read their Bible and attend church.
