In Mark 1:28, Jesus’s popularity was growing and his ministry was expanding.  In that context, v. 35 says that Jesus “went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.”  Jesus knew that prayer (conversation with his Father) was essential for both his communion with God and success in fulfilling his ministry.  If Jesus knew his need for prayer in the midst of a growing ministry, we certainly must recognize our need for prayer as the Lord grows the DCC/DCS ministry and as we pursue building facilities to provide space for that growing ministry.  Please pray that we would be known as a prayerful people.
