Generosity

December is traditionally a time when individuals and families look for opportunities to be generous by giving to ministries that reach out during the Christmas season.  For several years, Damascus Community Church has highlighted the needs of some of our strategic ministry partners who have increased needs, or who rely on special donations during this time of year.

Below are 3 ministries which have additional need during the Christmas season.

AMEN “American Military Encouragement Network

“American Military Encouragement Network (AMEN) provides assistance and encouragement to homeless veterans active and reserve military personnel service men and women, and military families in Oregon and SW Washington.”

This month, AMEN will provide food and Christmas gifts for needy military personnel and their families.

Afghan-American Church, Fremont, CA

"The Afghan-American Church’s mission is to 'make disciples among Afghans in the San Francisco Bay Area, the United States, and the world.'”

This Christmas season, the church will be reaching out to the many Afghan refugees who have fled Afghanistan.  Many of these families are Christians in need of permanent housing, jobs, etc.
