Eagle Eye News - September 15-20, 2025

We hope everyone had a fantastic first week of school! It was such a joy to see students capturing their first day of school photos with our Eagle mascot and reconnecting with friends after the summer break. The energy on campus has been contagious, and we’re excited for all that this school year holds.

Our fall sports teams are off to a great start, and game schedules are now underway! You’ll find all the latest details – plus much more – in this week’s Eagle Eye.

My Hot Lunchbox - We have heard reports of some parents unable to order lunches through their My Hot Lunchbox account. Sick Student Protocol - It is not unusual for students to get colds and illness at the kickoff to the school year as we all gather back together. Please review our sick student protocol and feel free to call the school office if you have any questions.

  • Vomiting/Diarrhea: Student must remain home 24 hours after last episode of vomiting or diarrhea.

  • Fever (temp over 100.4): Student must remain home until they are 24 hours fever-free without medication.

Late Arrivals - When arriving late to school, all elementary students need to be checked in by an adult to the school office.  Once they are checked in, an office staff member will take the student(s) to their classroom. If your student is in one of the outside pods, please do not take them directly to the classroom.  All late arrivals need to be checked in through the school office.

Early Pick Ups - When picking up early from school it is always helpful to give advance notice by email to dcs@damascuscc.org. Once you have arrived on campus, please call the school office to let us know you are here, who you are picking up, and where you are parked (503-658-4100).  Office staff will then bring your student(s) to the car.  Please allow extra time for us to get your student(s), as we do not pull students from class until you have arrived on campus. This allows the student to remain in class for the maximum time, without unnecessary waiting time in the office. If you have an athlete with an early dismiss time and you will be picking up other siblings early at that same time, please email dcs@damascuscc.org ahead of time with the name(s) of your students to be picked up.

DCS Spirit Wear - This is the final weekend to take advantage of the Back-to-School DCS Spirit Wear Sale where you can save 25% off sitewide and enjoy FREE shipping on qualifying orders over $75. Shop Now before the sale ends on September 16th!
